The VEGDOG VISH OIL is the perfect harmony of hemp, algae and linseed oil, which provide the dog with essential and important fatty acids such as EPA and DHA. As an excellent alternative to fish oil, it not only protects dogs’ health, but also oceans and fish. We always work with veterinarians to ensure optimal results with the recipe. It is particularly suitable to round off home-cooked vegan rations or to cover the increased need for omega-3 fatty acids in sick dogs (eg osteoarthritis, kidney and heart diseases).
Our oil mixture not only maintains the dog’s health, but can also support certain illnesses: the omega-3 fatty acids it contains can have an anti-inflammatory effect and thus support osteoarthritis pain or kidney function. They can also strengthen the skin barrier of healthy dogs and relieve itching in allergy sufferers. In addition to the health effect, our oil mixture also performs excellently in terms of environmental and animal protection: for one ton of the algae oil we use, 60 tons of fish are spared that would otherwise be caught from the seas for fish oil! Since every life counts for VEGDOG, fish are allowed to continue swimming through the seas with us!
Speaking of the seas: here, the algae are not extracted from the sea, but rather grown in sugar-based tanks! In this way, we ensure consistent product quality and that no pollutants such as microplastics accumulate. This process is not only very energy efficient, it also supports animal welfare, as neither fish are slaughtered nor bycatch is supported.
The VISH OIL is free of animal products and is therefore ideal for allergy sufferers. In addition, no genetically modified raw materials are used in production. And since we all love animals, we of course do not carry out any animal testing!
